When Hard Work Pays Off

I was awarded Photographer of the year by the Philippine Outdoor Photographers Foundation last month. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the event, but I am deeply honoured and grateful.

Back in 2016, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and pursue photography right after finishing my MA degree in International Business Communication, without knowing where it would lead me. The only thing that I was certain of is the fact that I would regret it if I give up on something that I am passionate about. I’m glad I gave it a chance and pursue it with every fiber of my being.

I love photography not only because it has given me the opportunity to explore my creativity, but also because it has given me the chance to share in people’s most special moments. Most importantly though, it has introduced me to so many amazing people around the globe.

Let your dreams be bigger than your fears. If this little introverted asian girl, from a small town in Denmark can do it. So can you! Don't let anyone tell you what you can and can't do. ♥

"The Essence of Life" Project

Last year, I became a part of the Free Spirit team, which is a group of creatives working together to combine art and philanthropy. We started a new project called “The Essence of Life”, which is a project that is dedicated to create awareness regarding climate change and the impact or effect that humans have on the environment. We travelled to Iceland, coming from different countries around the globe to kick-off the first campaign regarding melting glaciers, featuring models dressed in costumes crafted by Paris based designer, Fraise Au Loup. I was one of the photographers and our job was to capture and tell the stories of the characters that I like to think of as guardians or nature spirits. Here are the images that I captured from this amazing trip on the campaign's website.

Gratitude to all of the passionate creatives who are involved in this project. It is so inspiring being around you all. The next one that we are hoping to create this year will be about deforestation. I hope you guys support our project by simply sharing any of the videos or our website page. You can read about the campaign and see all of the incredible images and videos that we have created together below. :)
